What is this madness?

Yes, that tree has a face.
Now, if you have stumbled onto this scattered bit of insanity that I believe will be my blog, you must be thinking, "What in the great googly-moogly is this stuff?".  Or you might think, "I'm going to go find the vestiges of my sanity and never come back."  Don't worry.  That will probably be understandable as I am a person with ADOS... otherwise known as Attention Deficit... OOH SHINY!  I have a problem when writing stories where I start on this fantastic idea and I flesh it out... then this new idea comes along and I have to focus on it.  Then another idea comes along which is even more awesome... and... you know...

So some of these posts might be about something I plan to write about, while others might just be something so random, you need to be standing on your head with a tampon shoved up your nose and a banana in your ear just to understand what it is I'm talking about.

If you've read the "about me" blurb on the sidebar, you'll know that I'm pretty weird.  Who every heard of a nurse aide with a BMS who goes to a community college?  Shouldn't I be in graduate school?  Shouldn't I be... you know... working at a funeral home?  Well, life throws curve balls and I'm not a very good catcher... and my batting average is miserable. I know very little about baseball.

Basically, I don't know what I want to do with my life.  I thought I did, then things turned bad and then got worse and now I'm at square one with a few extra things.

Now what is this blog about?

Ostensibly, writing and words.  However, I'm interested in stories as a whole, so sometimes I may write about and actual book (House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski and John Dies at the End by David Wong are both planned as well as as much Christopher Pike as possible), but I may also address certain movies (like Labyrinth, the Dune movies, and anything with James McAvoy in it that I enjoy).  On the other hand, I also have a NUMBER of television series, web series, and web comics that I read that I may make a post about.  The long-short of it is, I will be starting some blogs with specific themes (like a fictional blog about a girl that gets roped into some crazy things), but this blog isn't for actual writing, it's for EVERYTHING.

So... enjoy the ride.

All these men are the same person. Savvy? So, I've reviewed a Doctor Who  episode, and I've gone over all the cool things I absolutely love  about various other shows and at some point I usually end up bringing up Doctor   Who  because it is one of my all-time favorite TV series out there. Adaptions

Books have a disease that cannot be cured.  The disease grows every year.  It has ruined many books but some books rise above this disease and seem to take on a life of their own.  These books are obviously wonderful. What is this disease? Well, if you've read the title of the blog, you'll know it's adaptions, as in book-to-movie adaptions.  Now, this isn't a horrible, horrible disease.  As I've said, sometimes the book manages to rise above the adaption and remain a great book that people read.  Other books... fall by the wayside and are forgotten while the adaption lives on usually tainting the modern view of said book beyond repair. Today I saw an adaption of a book, S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders .  Now, the book itself is pretty interesting because it was published when S.E. Doctor Who: The Time Meddler

A new  alien! In the past!  This is the last serial of Season Two of Doctor Who . It's also the first episode in some time in which we have someone of the Doctor's race since Susan Foreman left the show in the second serial of this season. It's also the first serial where someone of the Doctor's race is the villain . In the last episode we had a time traveling group of aliens trying to kill one time traveling alien and his crew. This episode is about a time travelling alien trying to change history while the other tries to preserve it. ... Or I assume that's what happens. This serial originally aired in four parts between July 3 and July 24 1965. Let's hope it does a credit to a season that has, thus far been a mix between lack-luster and boring and pretty darn interesting and even comedic at times. Two Hours Later ... Soo.... this serial....
